The vision that we have for artty.com is to become an interesting celebration of art of all kinds.
Not only is Artty an outlet for the stock from Gangri- a taste of Himalaya shop, selling handicraft from Himalayas.
We are hoping to share talent in visual arts, by featuring many artist friends and family, to display and sell their work in the artty space, linking to an online catalogue, and creating an outlet for some awesome artists to sell their work.
And this, create an interesting catalogue where customers can browse and buy art work to inspire them everyday.
We have added a blog to this website so artists and customers can share their experience, of creating art.
It would be fantastic to share ideas visually , and we hope we could upload pictures of the art's process in it's various stages, and through the online blog, as well as share techniques and learn from each other, and inspire each-other.
Artty offers creative ethically sourced jewellery and handicraft made in the Himalayan region. We also have a selection of well sourced quality vintage treasures. At artty we want to emphasise the importance of the saying and philosophy to REDUCE, REUSE and RECYCLE. We believe our crystals and other treasures are destined to go to where they are needed. We believe in the magic of crystals and we hope you buy some beautiful crystal jewellery to suit your present needs. Artty is also on a mission to promote artists, and catalogue their excellent work for you to buy. And be inspired by.
Ever since I was little my Mum & Dad have given me paper and art materials to create, to regulate my emotions, in an attempt to control a hyper child. This causes me mindfulness and grounding as it still has that effect when today I love to create, visual art of 2D and 3D work.
When I was 17 years, I left home for art school, and spent time learning life drawing techniques, becoming immersed in printmaking and sculpting from clay cardboard and found objects; that were and usually still are recyclables, it was my intention then to find the aesthetic value of each found object and amilliorate it in to a piece of art. This ranged from bags sewn together with copper wire; and made from alluminium cans to upcycled clothes and furniture. To a textile made from used tea bag skins that had been delicately sewn together with cotton, and painted with watercolour, we had a lot of fun experiementing at art school amoungst friends who were, and still are artist buddies.
Several moves accross the globe held up any achievement of aquiring a degree, but I feel that LIFE and NATURE are the greatest teachers, and expression through creative means, the best response to the teachings, that we are all given by being alive.
With the technologies available to create today, I am experimenting in cyber space, to bring you a digital catalogue of visual feed, I hope you stop by from time to time, and explore this online space, artty.com perhaps find somepiece of jewellery you would like to buy.
And believe me you will soon have it, in your person that piece, that you choose. With good intentions and happy days, have fun shopping on Artty.
